This module is great for diving into privacy and anonymization, with interesting content that isn't too difficult to understand. The lectures by Yves-Alexandre de Montjoye are definitely interesting and very engaging. The workload is manageable and greatly prepares you for the coursework as well as the end of term exam. Great module if there is any interest in Privacy!

The module content is quite interesting and different to other modules I've seen before. The lecturer, Yves-Alexandre de Montjoye is amazing and very good at explaining concepts in a way that is easy to digest. The module content is not too difficult, you get some hands-on experience with Python and Pandas, which is quite fun. Overall, a really good module, the only caveat being that some of the content is quite niche and might not have a lot of direct value unless you want to follow a career in privacy engineering.

While the scope of this module is very narrow (and the content is somewhat dry), Yves-Alexandre de Montjoye made the lectures very engaging and memorable. A lecture and a coding lab every week - very manageable workload, and not a huge amount of content. The structure of the exam was very similar to those in the past papers.

Good module for people interested in privacy and security research and careers but for most people it would probably be too niche. Some content like anonymisation was very interesting but other things seemed too specific. Professor does a great job at scoping whats needed to know on what level and overall was great at delivering the content. The coursework and exam were not too bad as well, just make sure to get a good group. Would only recommend if there is interest in the topic, as it could be boring otherwise
