There were not many computational aspects in the course. It was an overall decent introduction to some financial ideas and models. The tutorials were quite easy and aligned with the content well, however, the exam was extremely difficult. It was nothing like the level of difficulty presented elsewhere in the course.

Prerecorded lectures, the content is interesting and the tutorials are easy but !!! the exam is the hardest one I took here. Has nothing to do with tutorials, hope they curve it up. The professor is nice. I said the difficulty is hard (because of the exam) but again the lectures and tutorials are easy, and 2 hour lectures so it is not a crazy amount of content to learn. You will enjoy the module, just not the exam. I guess you could consider it if you want to get into quant roles.

Decently interesting content, somewhat useful if you want to go into quant jobs. The lecturer Panos is definitely competent, but in my opinion isn't that good at explaining these concepts. The project (20%) is quite easy, but the final (80%) is insanely difficult in comparison. You get 2 hours for the final, which is nowhere near enough to finish the exam. Many of the questions in the final go above and beyond the topics covered in the module, requiring you to deeply understand them and utilise them to write proofs or come up with solutions for other problems; simply understanding the content and doing the labs isn't enough. Also, all the lecturers are pre-recorded and online, the only thing in person is the tutorial where Panos just discusses that weeks lecture content and takes questions. He tends to miss the tutorials, only giving notice 1-2 hours before. He also doesn't answer most of the questions on EdStem, and if he does, its weeks after and they're usually a yes or no answer.
